The Worst College Football Player Of Week 13- Clayton Moore

Clayton Moore is the starting Sophomore quarterback for the Akron Zips. Originally Moore signed with Mississippi, but ended up enrolling at Akron. The 6-1 QB dominated in Junior College, but has yet to translate at the collegiate level. Luckily he’s only a Sophomore.  Last Saturday the Zips faced Western Michigan and lost 68-19, leaving Akron with an overall record of 1-11 (0-8 in conference). Now let’s take a look at Clayton’s stats Vs. WMI!

According to CBSsports.com, Clayton Moore completed 5 passes out of his 18 attempts for an abysmal 35 yards, resulting in a 27.8 completion percentage and a 44.1 passer rating. However Moore, is more known as a scrambler. He ran the ball 11 times for 40 yards, and had 4 fumbles. That’s not a typo, Moore coughed up the ball 4 times. Coming into this game Moore had 5 fumbles. Now on the season Moore has 9 passing touchdowns, 9 interceptions, and 9 fumbles. It would be cool if his number was 9, but unfortunately he is number 8. Moore has had 7 games this year where he didn’t throw a touchdown, he’s had 4 games where hasn’t thrown for over 100 yards, and on top of that he is yet to throw a 300+ yard game.

If he is still able to get the starting job next year, at least he can only improve…hopefully.
